Applications

Reverse osmosis membrane cleaner for removing fouling caused by organic, biological, colloidal foulants, iron salts, oxides and hydroxides. It can also be used to remove light calcium carbonate scaling.

Cautions

Cleaning should be undertaken whenever the permeate flux reduces by 10- 15% or, either the normalised differential pressure or permeate conductivity increase by 10-15%. In many instances it is best to adopt a programme of regular preventive cleaning.

Description And Use

  • RC-100 is an amber liquid containing mixture of hydrocarbon solvents, surfactants. It contains no cresylic or phenolic materials. RC-100 is specially designed for the removing and loosening of rubber deposits from asphalt concrete and Portland cement concrete airfield pavements

Instructions And Dosage Requirements

For application on rubber deposit removal, RC-100 should be diluted 1 part of compound to 2 parts water. Apply diluted mixture via applicator equipment to runway touchdown area.
The solution should stand on the rubber deposit for approximately 15-20 minutes on asphalt. Brush with power rotary type brusher than flash with high pressure water rinse

Description

  • Katfloc SC – Series is a cationic, relatively low molecular weight type polymer supplied in easy-to-use liquid form. It is used as a coagulant and/or coagulant – aid in the clarification treatment of water it can partially to totally replace conventional inorganic metal salts (e.g aluminum or iron salts). And also used for dewatering agent

Applications

  • Katfloc SC – Series must be diluted with clean water least 1: 10 prior to dosing. Dosing point should be thus selected as to provide for turbulent, prolonged mixing with the water to be treated in order to optimize performance. If used in conjunction with in organic coagulant, the inorganic is usually added first but in many cases, the product can be dosed at the same point. Katfloc SC-Series may also be pre-mixed with inorganic coagulant. In cases where a secondary coagulant/flucolant is used, Katfloc SC – Series should be dosed first

Cautions

Decolorizing as Color Removing

Description

  • Decolorizing is a synthetic cationic polymer that can partially or totally replace inorganic and organic coagulant in the clarification treatment of industrial effluents containing super-colloidal suspensions such as color. Decolorizing is particularly affective as a decolorization agent for industrial effluents containing residual nature or synthetic dyes such as textile industry waste water.

Applications

  • Decolorizing should preferably be dissolved in water to a 1,5 % strength solution prior to dosing. The dosing point should be selected such that intimate mixing and sufficient contact time with the substrate can occur.
    Decolorizing not normally used in conjunction with inorganic coagulant such as aluminum or iron salts. It is normally dosed before inorganic coagulant addition. N.B. Overdosing of Decolorizing should be avoided as re-dispersion can occur. The use of a high molecular weight anionic flocculant after Decolorizing addition is recommended as it results in an increased floc size.
    Dosage of Decolorizing varies depending on the composition of the effluent being treated and the amount of inorganic coagulant being used. Typical dosage rates range from 10 – 100 ppm
